Ware is best known as an educator and as the founder of the schools of architecture at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Columbia University.
Ware is not as well known for his achievements as an architect, though he and Van Brunt designed and erected a number of noteworthy buildings, especially in the Boston and Cambridge areas.
Ware correspondence can be located in the William Barton Rogers and Rogers family papers (MC 1 and MC 2) and the papers of the Office of the President.

William Ware Theiss (November 20, 1930 - December 15, 1992), also called Bill Theiss, was a costume designer for television and film.
He was born in Boston, Massachusetts, the son of Harold Hodgson Theiss and Helen Theiss, and was named for his grandfather, William Hodgson, and his grandmother's family, Ellen (Ware) Hodgson.
He was nominated for the Academy Award for Costume Design three times.

William was likely 34 years old instead of 24 years old and Maria is likely 32 years old instead of 23 years old when they married in 1863, which would suggest William might have been, born c1830 and Maria was born c1832.
Also, for consideration, is that William’s 50 acres he leased from Samuel in 1828 was bound by Henry Mickelborough, George Blakley’s estate, the land of Nancy Watts, and the main road-therefore, the property must have been east of Samuel’s original 1792 land purchase which was to the west of the Briery Swamp.

From 1850, rapid strides were made in the improvement of the ware, and under W. Brownfield and Sons they became equal to any others produced.
In earthenware, they made white, printed, enamelled and gilt ware, from the simplest to the more elaborate and costly patterns, in table, toilet, and dessert services and all the usual articles for household use.
Many of the printed patterns are well designed; and in the better classes of goods, the enamelling and gilding are very effective.

William Ware, soldier, was born on January 15, 1801, the son of Joseph W. and Elizabeth Dawson (Howell) Ware, in Muhlenburg County, Kentucky, according to some sources, and in Richmond County or Augusta County, Georgia, according to others.
In 1850 Ware's family, eight children and three of his wife's younger siblings, were living on Cibilo Creek in Bexar County, where their property was assessed at $3,500.
In 1852 Ware moved west again, establishing on August 17, 1852, the community of Waresville (now Utopia) in Uvalde County.
