 First Look: Eduard Hanriot HD.1/HD.2
During 1917 and 1918, the airplane would be flown by most of the famous Belgian aces, including Willy Coppens, and it would continue in first-line Belgian service into the early 1920s.
The airplane was also offered to the Italians, where a number of Italian aces liked its nimble performance over that offered by the SPAD S.VII, and 831 Hanriots were manufactured in Italy by Nieuport-Macchi during 1917-18.
I understand the less-expensive version has markings for an HD.1 flown by Willy Coppens, the Belgian ace of aces, which I personally wish was on this sheet.

First World War.com - Encyclopedia - Le Prieur Rockets
Invented by Frenchman Lieutenant Yves Le Prieur the solid-fuel stick-guided rocket was first deployed during the Battle of Verdun in April 1916 when four rockets were attached to each strut of a Nieuport fighter aircraft and fired through steel tubes.
The Belgian Willy Coppens (a noted 'Balloon Buster') and Englishman Albert Ball made use of La Prieur rockets until the advent of incendiary Pomeroy bullets the following year made bringing down enemy balloons easier.
Le Prieur rockets were fired electrically, although their inaccuracy was such that pilots were generally required to fly within some 125 yards of their target before firing the rockets, which necessitated steep manoeuvres in order for the pilot to avoid colliding with the enemy balloon during the attack.

Part 2: Hanriot HD.1 in Foreign Service
The single weapon was a particular liability during the balloon-busting sorties that were Coppens' specialty.
Accordingly, the French sent Coppens an early prototype of a new, purpose-built weapon, the "balloon gun." This was a license-built Vickers chambered for an experimental, high-velocity 11-mm (.45 cal.) cartridge (inspired, no doubt, by the standard, early-war anti-balloon weapon, a.45-cal, low-velocity incendiary bullet fired from a Victorian-era Martini-Henry carbine).
Coppens had the gun fitted to one of his several Hanriots (No. 17) and used it alongside the standard machines.
