		Wilmerding is a borough located in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
		In 1900, the population stood at 4,179 people; in 1910, it stood at 6,133.
		Wilmerding is only a stone's throw from Turtle Creek, which takes its name from a small stream that flows past both places.

		The depot was located 13 miles East of Pittsburgh on an isolated farm in a wooded valley.
		America's first company-planned community, Wilmerding, stood shoulder-to-shoulder with any town in the valley and beyond.
		Wilmerding's population grew from the original occupants of four homes before 1890, to 6,441 in 1920, fell to 4,349 by 1960 and diminished to less than half that number today.
