		I think there's some problem with directx when it's trying to write directly to the video buffer or something, but now i have to use the software decoder until i reinstall the OS and all.
		I'm using windvd full version 2.1 any I've never had a problem like the one you describe.
		The problem is not with WinDVD, it works perfectly fine, it's with the Adaptec package which has a long history of being crooked and installing a bunch of nasty components all over the place.

		It seems that the WinDVD codec gives a just a tad better saturation than the latest NVDVD decoder (which I use) and both WinDVD and NVDVD appear a bit sharper and better saturated in my setup than PowerDVD.
		Also a WinDVD 6 re-install does not appear to overwrite the common folder (perhaps as the files already in their after a WinDVD 7 install, are newer?).

		Have to disagree with postma071 I have never used WinDvd Creator but I have got"Roxios Easy Media Creator 7".Its definitely the best software I have used.As a back up I use 1Click Dvd Copy a Canadian package which is highly ranked.
		I am surprised to hear the troubles you've all had with windvd creator I've used it alot But I have to admit some for slideshow/audio clips mostly for dvds from video capture I have used widows movie maker, then to windvd for slide show movie maker crashed while dragging/dropping/affects...
		WinDVD does not seem to be able to cope with that critical area between a number of frames of questionable acceptability and an obviously excessive number - which quite rightly gets rejected prior to burning.
