 | | (2) you should be aware that, when they were discontinued, windage sights already in service were often pinned or otherwise fixed, so you might be able to buy a windage sight only to find that it cannot be adjusted to the extent that, if you tried to move them, you might cause damage. |
 | | Posted - 11/28/2006 : 3:57:39 PM They're often not worth the effort (easier to properly zero the rifle, then aim off for wind) and they may actually reduce accuracy (the leaf has to be a perfect fit in the ramp to avoid binding or lateral movement). |
 | | I have several rifles with windage sights and they do come in handy when using different types and brands of ammunition which often have a different POI. |
