The city is served by the Windsor Airport with regular, scheduled commuter air service and heavy general aviation traffic, and by the Detroit Metropolitan Airport across the river in the U.S. It is also located on the St.

At the City Council meeting of August 18, 1998, the City Council conducted a public hearing concerning the application of First Street Properties, LLC for approval of a General Development Plan for Centennial Village PUD.
On August 18th City Council approved the waiver of $20,403.26 in City Use Tax and fees as requested by Foothills Gateway, Inc. (Foothills) a local not-for-profit agency serving the developmentally disabled in Loveland and Larimer County.
City Council considered the ordinance changes on August 3, 1998 and returned them to the Library Board for additional discussion and a revoting.

 City Council lowers speed limit for some streets, alleys
The University District was established by the City Council at its July 17, meeting.
The city will be funding its share of the reconstruction project – a maximum of $5.6 million – through rededication of the city’s food and beverage tax.
Bruce Knight, Champaign City planning director, said that the planning department would schedule a study session with the City Council in the near future to address these and other questions related to the special service area issue.

Results of the Windsor Heights City Council election one week ago - with Donna Keller Markley's six-vote margin of victory over write-in candidate George Hanusa - are still up in the air, despite officials' certification last week.
Markley and Hanusa - neither of whom are currently serving on the City Council - are vying for one of two seats.
Former Windsor Heights City Council member Ben Swartz was the last council member to win as a write-in candidate, back in 1987, according to city administrator Marketa Oliver.

Windsor, Ontario Canada … On Monday, May 10, the City of Windsor in Ontario, became the first city in Canada to pass a city ordinance that recognizes residents as animal guardians.
Before Dorit Girash even finished her presentation to the Windsor City Council, mayor Eddie Francis announced that the decision had been made to replace the word “owner” with the term “guardian” in the language of Windsor’s animal-related by-laws.
The language in Windsor’s by-laws now specifically refers to people as “guardians” of the animals under their care and leaves off the title of “owner” altogether.

I do not know the current level of funding that the City of Windsor gives, but when the issue of increasing the funding is brought to council, I can assure you that my legal training will kick in and I will do all the research to be prepared for those meetings.
Together City Council and the ACWR could promote Windsor’s arts to the general public and with the focus of increasing awareness across a wider demographic.

Mayor Dennis Archer, during a discussion on his plan to relocate the MGM Casino to the riverfront, told City Council last month that he hopes the gondola link will be built.
He said the city would not give away land and that the City Council must approve any deal.
Jorgensen said both Windsor and Detroit council members have seen a scaled-down model of the project, which could go on display with the gondola car at GM World in the Renaissance Center if negotiations progress.
