		This is the result of a new technology, call WineX, the great project of this company, a program based on Wine, which is an implementation of the APIs de Windows, it is to say allows to execute the programs Windows on Linux.
		WineX further on goes, because it tries to incorporate the APIs multimedia Microsoft Direct X, including Direct 3D, to the layer that acts of intermediary between the applications Windows and Linux.

		WineX is based on ReWind now, because Transgaming didn't like it that Wine didn't like it that Transgaming wouldn't contribute their code back and changed their license.

		I think it's a perfectly reasonable request of transgaming to ask the debian maintainers to not package a binary build of winex from their cvs repository, that could really cut into their bottom line, which, despite what so many here say, is important for a company.
		Similarly, if the debian crew decides to ignore transgaming's request and package winex in the distribution anyway, transgaming has nothing to complain about, but they can decide to change their license if they think they need too.
		WineX has _always_ been available in source form for free (meaning you can get it even if you aren't a subscriber) if you are willing and able to pull it from their CVS servers.

		Over the last couple of weeks I been playing with winex (a hybrid version of wine) and have had extremely good results with it.
		Although this is good and all, what I am concerned about is that game developers might see winex as a shortcut and make games compatible to winex instead of making native linux versions of games.
		Winex is no way near getting things 100% compatible but they have made some big steps.

		I"ve tried winex on one of my favorite games and while it installs just fine...the graphics are nasty (discolored horribly) and gameplay is VERY slow compared to windows counterpart..
		What is all the fuzz about winex, it hardly runs any direct3d games (max payne 2, gta3 and a few older games) and opengl games (the bulk of the games working with winex) run better with normal wine....
		Actually winex does not emulate any linux games, there are a few linux games that emulate windows games though (like freeciv and opencnc).

		If you've access to Transgamer's downloads you should be able to get a package called 'Point2Play', this will install WineX and games for you, make sure you read the info on the website for individual games (and in the readme) as this will help you with known problems (and there are loads!).
		This version of Winex is not from the main internett site, it`s a duplicate from another site.
		i was a little dubious about purcahsing winex, but in the end i deceided to, and since then i have been playing windwos games on linux nice and easy, you should do the same, its not like its expensive or anything
