The first part of the series, Wilderness, (http://www.films.com/item.cfm?bin=10374) portrays the sophisticated cultures of pre-contact Native America and chronicles the history of Indian-White contact from the time of European incursion into the New World to the tragedy of Wounded Knee.
Despite these minor shortcomings, the film deals well with a long series of complicated issues, providing the viewer with both historical occurrences and personal consequences of these events through its lively presentation of Native voices.
This work is to be highly commended and would be of particular value in history, government, social justice, and Native studies courses and as a general introduction to the often tragic history of Indian-white relations.

The Life of Birds | About Sir David
Like all his series, Life of Birds is very much his series, written to his own words, put together largely as he planned it.
He began the series, as he does all his series, with an outline of the questions he wants to ask and answer, the subjects he wants to cover.
He made some of the first fl and white TV nature films, then rose to be the BBC’s director of TV programmes when colour TV was being introduced in Britain.

UK spider research interests BBC documentary filmmakers to Lexington
In early September Sir David and a team of documentary filmmakers from the BBC's famed Natural History Unit set up cameras at the University of Kentucky's Spindletop research farm to capture the predatory talents of the bolas spider, which feeds at night.
While Kevin Flay filmed Attenborough and the spider, a second producer/cameraman recorded footage of Haynes and Yeargan interacting with Attenborough and the BBC team, and Haynes said those shots may be included in a "making of" program highlighting behind-the-scenes details of how the main documentary was put together.
Attenborough's completed series "Life in the Undergrowth" likely will be available to British audiences sometime in 2006, and American audiences a few months later, according to the BBC.

 Ravin' Ray's Pterosaur FAQ's
It means "wing finger" and it is an apt description; the wing of the pterosaur is supported mainly by an elongated fourth digit along the forward edge.
After all, bird wings consist of several feathers that can be replaced one at a time without an appreciable loss of support; and bat wings are supported by four elongated digits that prevent a tear from running down its entire length.
This also meant that their wings weren't attached to the base of their legs, as was traditionally thought; the wings instead connected to their hips.

The "Wings" BBC TV series about the adventures of a fictional group of Royal Flying Corps personnel was most interesting and I have been searching for the series on video and/or DVD for a number of years.
The series was repeated on the UK Gold digital TV channel some years ago.
I believe that the outdoor and flying scenes were filmed at Lasham airfield in Hampshire, using a full size non-flying model of the BE2c aircraft, which apparently showed an urge to fly when it was taxied across the airfield, while the flying scenes used large radio-controlled models, many of which were destroyed during filming.

Next, on TV so that you can reach large numbers of people, you teach the TV viewers how to see one of the hidden images, but do not show the other.

I hope the next series of experiments of this type will involve repeated exposure of subjects to hidden images, because the whole hypothesis is based on the idea of habitual patterns of response, and in this run, pictures were shown only once.

Some reviewers and fans have suggested that Steerpike's character in the books and TV series differ significantly in a number of ways, not all to the good.
What remains with me most, now that many of the secondary plot elements are forgotten (before seeing the BBC production) is partly Peake's wonderfully evocative prose (which was used largely verbatim in the TV series), but most of all the dark, vast, yet labyrinthine castle that is Gormenghast.

BBC's Series Absolutely Fabulous Back With 12 New Episodes!!!
To take a sitcom that was a hit and ended its series like Cheers, Wings, Seinfeild, 3rd Rock and Golden Girls, I think, why don't these hits come back with their series again.
Yes this TV series pushes certain issues over the line and even crosses that line but as tasteless as it may seem to some people, you can not ignore the talented cast, writers, and creativity of this series.
This TV sitcom does not handle problems or issues in a religious way, such as getting back to sobriety through God, dealing with the problem by critical people who stand on their soap box lecturing, or in a tear jerking manner in which everyone, "sees the light." This shows approach is entirely the opposite.
