Wintereenmas is a holiday especially made for gamers.
Note* gift giving is discouraged, so Wintereenmas doesn't become a commerical holiday and remains in the hands of happyness and the people.
Also, I've been giving Wintereenmas cards out every year for two years now, and hope you will all do the same.

I'm reminded daily that it's that time of year again, mostly by richard, and must confess that despite my generally palsied gaming spirit, i'm feeling the old juices flowing again, and frankly wouldn't mind a spot of LAN.
So I hereby declare the weekend of the 29th the tentative draft date of what could be the MUM wintereenmas LAN party.
Mich's LAN party spirit has been stricken with an intractible choler - symptoms include being unable to give "a shit" and finding it extremely difficult to muster what he termed "the right kind" of "excitement".

They can be an escape from reality, a release after a long day, a fun activity with friends, or just an enjoyable way to pass time.
So reads the Wintereenmas website FAQ, which is trying as hard as it can to promote Wintereenmas, a construct of CTRL+ALT+DEL author Tim Buckley's creativity, as a relevant and useful annual event to celebrate gaming as a culture.
Insofar as there is a culture of gamers, then, you are invited to take note of this production -- the events list could actually prove quite dashing, should it get stocked up on a decent amount of contributions.
