The show where picking the wrong answers from the answer board could lead to a wipeout.
This modern version of Wipeout follows a similiar format to that of the American version of the late 1980's.
This is, in my opinion, the best kids game show format of recent times here in Oz - great set, great host and decent prizes (and may I say the US grown-up version from yesteryear isn't half bad either!).

Wipeout Pure is a futurist racing game that allows you to race in high-speed vehicles that hover off of the track and will remind you of how two magnets repel each other when you try to push both positive ends together.
Wipeout was one of the first racing games for the original PlayStation back in 1995 and it just seemed fitting that Sony would bring out a new version on PSP for it's launch.
Wipeout Pure is a solid launch title that may get better in the next few months if Sony follows through with their promised downloadable ships, tracks, music, and interface themes.

Press Your Luck has always remained one of the most popular game shows of the genre, and whenever you look at the opening montages of the show, some of the most remembered contestants are shown doing their thing.
He's been on several shows over the years, and most recently, he was a champion on the PYL revival Whammy!, and GSN still shows Scott in their commercials to this day.

I doubt that "Press Your Luck" was among the harder game shows to host - the questions were not demanding, all anyone has to do is keep up with the information on the scoreboard, read whatever is on the hit screen, and occasionally mention the price of a prize that was hit.
On "Wipeout," Peter was able to bring the excitement from "Press Your Luck" to a game that was more about knowledge (or at least assumed knowledge) than straight up luck.

The second half of the game was virtually identical to the first half.
Later, it aired on the USA cable network as apart of it's game show block starting in 1987 and aired almost non-stop (except a brief period in April 1995) through October 1995.
Game Show Network added "Press Your Luck" to it's daily and weekend schedule on September 1, 2001.

This is one of those shows that was born, died, was reborn shortly with the reruns, and then seemed to be forgotten about.
