Without Remorse - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Without Remorse is a novel by Tom Clancy set in 1970, in the middle of the Vietnam War.
Paramount Pictures pictures bought the film rights to Without Remorse soon after the novel was released.
There were several attempts to start work on the film, but it was always dropped soon after, along with attempts to adapt Clancy's hit novel Rainbow Six into a film as well.

A SEARED CONSCIENCE Pt. 1 -- by Charles G. Finney
When you can lay a stumbling block before a brother, without compunction or remorse; when you can indulge in any course of life that has a tendency to mislead him--when you can unnecessarily try his temper, say or do any thing that has a tendency to lead him into sin, it indicates a seared conscience.
When you can be in the habit of borrowing and using your neighbor's tools, without perceiving and feeling the injurious tendency of such conduct, and without realizing the pernicious principle on which such a practice turns, it is because you have a seared conscience.
Nay, so far are they from feeling compunction or remorse, and perceiving that they are actuated by the most unpardonable selfishness, that they would complain, and suppose themselves to have a right to complain of the selfishness of a neighbor who should refuse to indulge them in acting upon such principles.

In essence, the assessment can depend on the view, approach, background, and skills (and perceived capability and credibility) of the person or team ("tiger" or "fl belt") conducting the risk assessment exercise.
Without a formalized process, the risk assessment can also be perceived as negative, overly pessimistic, or "too risky" when balanced against the potential rewards.
Often, situations exist where the CIO and SBU executives believe the risk assessment is a means for the risk management (or information security or business continuity) staff to promote doom-and-gloom scenarios and attempt to raise more money for their organization.

This came to be known as the 'US tilt' because it was difficult to explain it without giving up the secrecy associated with the cherished project of establishing workable contacts with China at the highest level.
Without such an assumption, it is difficult to share the US policymakers' perception it was Yahya who needed sympathy because he was anguished over decisions which he had to take, namely the orders he had issued to Tikka Khan to sort out the Bengalis.
The famous checks and balances, a significant part of the US constitutional fabric, did not seem to work in 1971; nor was the value-based policy much in evidence.

I'm a believer in the idea that a poem or any sort of piece of writing is created by an author, who wrote whatever they wrote, for their reason and they wrote it and expressed it to others in attempt to get their message out to whoever reads it.
The way I intended the 'claiming victims without remorse' part is that the victims are my emotions, which become more numb over time.

It is "home buyer's remorse." This disease usually occurs at two times in the home purchase process: (1) shortly after a home buyer signs a written purchase offer to buy a house or condo, or (2) shortly after the sale closes and the buyer fears the home purchase was a very bad decision.
Although these reasons create empathy for home buyers, they usually are not legally sufficient for the buyer to refuse to complete the purchase without becoming obligated to pay damages to the home seller.
If a home buyer doesn't recover from their buyer's remorse and defaults on the home purchase, before resorting to a lawsuit for damages, home sellers should consider the alternative legal remedies of mediation and arbitration, if specified in the sales contract.
