Witta town(Site not responding. Last check: 2007-11-01)
Witta is a town of 2000 or so, about 60 K west of the Pacific Ocean -- as the crow flies -- up in the Blackball (mountain) Range.
Witta sits near the top of the mountain; it's pretty country, though not spectacular The town was originally settled by Germans and named Teutoberg, but in 1916, due to anti-German sentiment associated with the Great War, the town was renamed Witta.
As Witta town is a quiet, relaxing place, it might well suit those looking for a secluded vacation or a place to wind down.
Although the difference is subtle, McCoy does point out that Witta originated perhaps more as a rural, simplistic approach to the craft, using crude and natural tools instead of those frequently employed in ceremonial magick, which seems more a part of Wiccan lore.
Modern Witta has adopted some of same ritual tools of Wicca, but for those wishing to harken back to the very old Wittan ways, simplicity is the key.
Witta: an Irish Pagan Tradition may be a ho-hum read for Wiccans experienced in magick and ceremony, but it’s definitely a worthwhile read for anyone of Irish descent -- and, with its light emphasis on feminine empowerment -- especially enriching for female practitioners.
Witta told us that his father Guthrum had once in his life rowed along the shores of Africa to a land where naked men sold gold for iron and beads.
When the heat increased Witta spread a cloth on bent sticks above the rowers, for the wind failed between the Island of the Mountain and the shore of Africa, which is east of it.
Witta saw the gold on the bank; he was loath to leave it.
Witta said that some, if not most, overhead will be cut since ''there will no longer be a need for a facilities management headquarters at each base, instead there will be one headquarters for the Southeast area.''
Another change, noted Witta, is the ability for Public Works to use money from the Navy Working Capital Fund.
Witta also expects services now to be ''reimbursable.'' In other words, tenant commands and base directorates now must pay as they go for services delivered by Public Works.

Rather than focusing purely on Celtic mythology, Witta examines the cultural aspects of Irish paganism and serves as a textbook for the practice of the old religion of Ireland.
In the interview, she explains that in fact, Witta isn't an ancient tradition, and that she did no "classical" research for this book.
She actually sounds embarrassed that it should have caused such a ruckus, that she wrote it so badly that people would take such offense to it.

Witta is a rural community situated near from Maleny on the Sunshine Coast Queensland.
With sensational rural and valley views, Witta is set in a lush rural setting and visitors will find a variety of luxury accommodation tucked into the Hinterland on the south-west edge of the Blackall Range.
Wittaâs economy now is based mainly on dairy and beef cattle.
After spending the winter in Miami attending to Witta's brother who had a stroke, Dick and Witta spent a three week interlude at Sea Ranch (north of San Francisco), which provided some nice photo opportunities (see links above) and May-June in the SF Bay Area house-sitting for friends.
Over the last couple of years my (Witta's) interest in photography has grown considerably; indeed, nowadays I often see the world through my camera's eye.
