Sir Kenneth Duncan Morrison CBE (born Bradford,England, October 20, 1931) is executive chairman of Wm Morrison Supermarkets plc, the fourth largest supermarket group in the United Kingdom.
Morrison received the CBE in 1990 and was knighted in the 2000 new year’s honours list for services to the food retailing industry.
Morrison may have been right in 2001 when he described Safeway as an "indigestible meal" for his supermarket group.

Wm Morrison Supermarkets plc (LSE: MRW) is the fourth largest chain of supermarkets in the United Kingdom.
Morrisons was founded by William Morrison in 1899, initially as an egg and butter merchant in Rawson Market, Bradford, England.
On the 2nd July 2006 a report in The Observer newspaper suggested that Morrisons could be the target of a £6 billion bid from a consortium of private equity firms including Texas Pacific, CVC and Permira.

Following the news at the end of August that Tesco was poised to buy 30 petrol stations from supermarket rival WM Morrison, the latter has now confirmed that it will be selling 21 stations to the UK's leading retailer.
According to Morrison, BP will hold onto four of the sites, while the remaining five will transfer to Somerfield.
The purchase price was not revealed, however Morrison valued the 30 sites at GBP55.3 million at the beginning of the year, which at rough speculation would value the assets being acquired by Tesco in the range of GBP35 to 40 million.
