Wodonga (36°07′S 146°53′E) is a small city on the Victorian side of the border with New South Wales, 300 kilometres north-east of Melbourne, Australia.
There are two Australian rules football clubs in Wodonga, the Wodonga Football Club and the Wodonga Raiders Football Club, both competing in the Ovens and Murray Football League.
Wodonga is in the federal Division of Indi.

Wodonga railway station was the original terminus of Victoria's North Eastern Railway which was built during the 1870s, reaching Wodonga in 1873.
In 1962 the standard gauge line was extended south from Wodonga to Melbourne and from that time onwards, most interstate haulage was on the standard gauge.
There are future plans for Wodonga railway station to be moved from its present central location to a position on a new line on the northern edge of the town.

Albury Wodonga Soccer Association Incorporated was formed in 1973 and traded as Soccer Albury Wodonga for a short period before changing to come in line with national directive of (soccer) football in Australia and will be now so named the "ALBURY WODONGA FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION" which was passed at the Annual General meeting 11th December 2005.
Both Albury United and Wodonga Border remained in the North Eastern Victoria League to fulfil their 1973 commitments, after which they both joined the new association at the start of the 1974 season along with the newly formed, Albury City, to make up an eight team league.
Of more recent times, Willow Park Panthers (or as they are now known Wodonga Panthers) and as recently as 1995 Benalla (another former adversary in the North Eastern Victoria League) have been admitted to membership, making the Association a twelve team competition.

Albury Wodonga Business is appalled that the relocation of the Wodonga Rail line was overlooked and not even mentioned in Tuesday’s Victorian Budget.
While the state government has said their is no budget statement about the Wodonga rail bypass, the funding for the bypass was allocated previously in the state budget in 2001-02 and rolled over each year.
