		Another womon who worked there had set up a network of veterinarians and kennels who would give the animalstemporary shelter while the battered womon pieced her life together and found safety away from the batterer.
		I was fortunate to find a contact who is a vegetarian womon at the local safehouse for wimmin, and also to find the former director of the shelter I worked with in Denver as the new director here in Austin.
