Actually, I have found that even the "hard" Dark Elf armies do not perform well when facing the "hard" version of other armies, so at equal composition scores Dark Elves seem to be at a disadvantage.
Dark Elf players were lucky to have Chris Fitzpatrick as their chief sculptor.
