Woodbine Avenue is a north-south route in Toronto and Markham, Ontario, Canada.
Woodbine is a six-lane arterial from Steeles to Highway 7, and four lanes from Highway 7 to Major Mackenzie Drive, where it narrows to 2 lanes onwards.
Woodbine Racetrack is in Etobicoke, Ontario, and not anywhere close to Woodbine Avenue.

This plan, covering the section of Lancaster Avenue between 52nd Street on the east and Woodbine Avenue on the west, is a response to the 1994 recommendations; and it also responds to the interest that has since been expressed by community leaders, elected officials and businesspersons who live and work near Lancaster Avenue.
The housing to the south of Lancaster Avenue, between 52nd Street and 56th, was partially built by 1895 and was fully complete by 1910; the area to the west of 56th Street was still largely farmland in 1910.
On this side of the street, the properties tend to be larger in terms of street frontage, although the depth of the properties is constrained by the presence of the railroad.

Then about 1898 Allegheny Avenue was extended west through the farm and connected to Charles Street Avenue, and about 1902 the driveway was made a public street, extended south to Chesapeake Avenue, and called Woodbine Avenue.
The Henry Imwold farm at Charles Street Avenue and Boyce Avenue was subdivided and "Villa Madrid" and the John J. Ekin house were built in 1925.

Underground springs have caused sand to erode from the edge of Woodbine Avenue in to the harbor, which has caused the roadway to become unstable, creating a hazard for homes.
Last year, Rep. Israel secured a $450,000 appropriation to enable the Army Corps of Engineers to complete a study to fix the road—the first step in the process to fix Woodbine Avenue, the major access road to the village downtown area.
Woodbine Avenue is also the most used means of access for fire and other emergency services to the village.

This central strip, along Lancaster Avenue, places the churches in a central location within the community, making it a true spiritual center, serving the various needs of a diverse community which attracted a wide variety of inhabitants.

Mitchell Avenue was rerouted to the west, leaving the old alignment as a frontage road.
