		The county of Woodruff, in Eastern Arkansas, is bounded north by Jackson, east by Cross and St. Francis, south by St. Francis and Monroe, and west by Prairie and White Counties.
		Augusta, the county seat of Woodruff County, is situated on the east bank of White River, a mile and a quarter north of the Bald Knob & Memphis Branch of the St. Louis, Iron Mountain & Southern Railroad, and is connected with the latter by means of a street-car railway.
