		Woodspring is a constituency represented in the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom.
		The constituency contains the northern and eastern parts of the North Somerset unitary authority (formerly the Woodspring district of the County of Avon, and roughly the same area as the ancient Hundred of Portbury).
		The Woodspring constituency will be renamed "North Somerset" at the next general election, however the unitary authority of North Somerset also encompasses the Weston-Super-Mare constituency.

		Woodspring constituency is largely a rural constituency and takes in the towns of Nailsea, Clevedon and Portishead and the villages of Pill, Easton in Gordano, Long Ashton, Backwell, Yatton and Wrington.
		Woodspring constituency accounts for some 58% of the population of the North Somerset Council area.

		Woodspring Priory was founded in 1210, perhaps as an expiatory gesture, by William de Courtenay, grandson of Reginald FitzUrse who, with other West Countrymen, murdered Thomas a Becket.
		We found Woodspring in 1969 as it had been since the Dissolution, the church still inhabited as the farmhouse of a picturesque and rather old-fashioned farm.
		Other monastic remains are grander, others more complete than Woodspring, but few have kept so well the serene atmosphere of an isolated religious community, surrounded by a working farm, and lying by the sea.

		He was born and raised in East Kilbride, Scotland and brought up in a council house which his parents later bought.
		Liam Fox has been the MP for Woodspring since 1992, however, he actually resides in Bishop Sutton in the adjacent constituancy of Wansdyke (Dan Norris, Labour), this is due to a boundry change which in effect moved his home from being within his constituency to its current location.
		He was elected as Member of Parliament for Woodspring in April 1992.
