WOOLSTOCK, IOWA — State fire investigators say an explosion at a grain elevator in the north central Iowa town of Woolstock last month was caused by a dry wheel bearing.
Two workers — Ron Schaumburg of Woolstock and Gene Anderson of Fort Dodge — remained hospitalized as of Oct. 2.
Officials at University Hospitals in Iowa City said Schaumburg is in critical condition and Anderson is in serious condition.
