Wooster (IPA [wʊstɚ]) first syllable pronounced "puss--like the cat--with a w" is a city in Wayne County, Ohio, United States.
Wooster is the birthplace of physics Nobel Prize winner and chancellor of Washington University Arthur Compton and his brother physicist and president of MIT Karl Taylor Compton.
Regula is being challenged by Democrat the Rev. Thomas Shaw, a Methodist minister from Wooster.

Wooster, Ohio is a small, rural community, with a population of 26,000, according to The 2000 Wooster city dorectory.
Also, local people will tell you that "Wooster" is a white, or caucasian town (which seems to be true), that "Orrville" is an African American or fl town (although I have not myself seen a large population of fls there), and that "Rittman" is a hillbilly community.
I think one of the gangs that are currently in Wooster, Ohio is a gang that abused me in childhood, when I lived in Brentwood on Sceneridge Avenue.

Wooster is also known as the home of F.J. Designs, makers of the Cat's Meow wooden buildings.

Charles Thorne, director of the station then located on the campus of the Ohio State University in Columbus, took advantage of the opportunity to separate from the university.
Although much of the equipment went to Wooster on the railroad, the station's seed and some equipment was transported by horse-drawn wagons, shown in this photograph, which measures 8.8" x 4.6" (22.4 x 11.7).
In 1882, the Ohio State University established an experiment station to bolster its agriculture program, which critics charged was being shortchanged by a shift towards liberal arts education.

"Wooster has spoken, and we are delighted Wooster has joined most of the world in rejecting water fluoridation," said Becky Baker, a member of Wayne Citizens for Safe Water, the group that opposed the issue.
Kathryn Helmuth, a Wooster physician who has taken an active role in the Safe Water -- Healthy Smiles initiative coalition, which placed the issue on the ballot, said the group is disappointed in the election result.
More than 90 percent of Ohio communities supplement water supply with fluoride, which is a naturally occurring element in water.
