Social class - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Social classes with a great deal of power are usually viewed as an elite, at least by their own societies.
Classes are seen to have their origin in the division of the social product into a necessary product and a surplus product.
For example, Bourdieu seems to have a notion of high and low classes comparable to that of Marxism, insofar as their conditions are defined by different habitus, which is in turn defined by different objectively classifiable conditions of existence.

Open class word - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
An open word class, in linguistics, is a word class that accepts the addition of new items, through such processes as compounding, derivation, coining, borrowing, etc. Typical open word classes are nouns, verbs and adjectives.
Open-class words are not considered part of the core language and as such they can be changed, replaced or dropped from the common lexicon, which can encompass many thousands of them.
Slang words appear first in small segments of the population, and then spread to the mainstream speaking community and become standard, or fade after a period of being in fashion.

A social class is a group of people that have similar social and economic status.
Modern usage of the word "class" generally considers only the relative wealth of individuals or social groups, and not the ownership of the means of production.
The concept of " caste " differs from that of "class", and refers to rigid status groupings, the membership of which is usually inherited.

Closed-class word - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A closed word class, in linguistics, is a word class to which no new items can normally be added, and that usually contains a relatively small number of items.
Typical closed classes found in many languages are adpositions ( prepositions and postpositions), determiners, conjunctions, and pronouns.
The closed class is normally viewed as part of the core language and is not expected to change.

Class-based language model adaptation using mixtures of word-class weights
Experiments were run with all combinations of topic and class size, with and without use of the EM algorithm for determining the topic weights and with and without interpolation with a word 4-gram.
When not interpolating with a word model, significant improvements were obtained in every case for all sizes of topic model given a fixed number of classes, with the 250 topic model providing the largest gains, as shown in table 2.
The 503 class results are shown since they gave the best perplexity results when interpolated with a word model, and the 1003 class perplexities are included for comparison because the best recognition results were obtained with this number of classes.

NBL Conference: Word frequency as a modulator of word class effect: an ERP study
The dual mechanism theory for the visual processing of open- and closed-class words predicts that different neuronal generators are activated depending on word class.
To define differences in the configuration of the active areas in the brain as a function of word class, topographic analyses of the electric potential distribution were conducted.
The low frequency word class effect revealed two segments with topographical differences: in the time range of the N280 but with maximum differences in negativity on central electrodes and in a later segment with a central posterior negativity.

A Probabilistic Word Class Tagging Module Based On Surface
Word class frequencies are given with four decimals, and the word classes appear in falling order according to frequency.
One thing which cannot be bypassed is the extent to which the number of word classes associated with an ending decreases with the number of letters in the ending, i.e., the longer the final letter cluster, the fewer word classes associated with that ending.
Since word formation obeys morphological rules, one may predict that neologisms and inflected loan words should be given rather accurate tags by the module.

Word Grammar is a theory of language structure which Richard (= Dick) Hudson has been building since the early 1980's.
by default, English words follow the word they depend on, but exceptionally subjects precede it; particular cases `inherit' the default pattern unless it is explicitly overridden by a contradictory rule.
Perhaps the most accessible source of detailed information is the Encyclopedia of English Grammar and Word Grammar, which is about 140 pages single-spaced including diagrams and can be used in hypertext mode.

Hungarian notation - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
It was designed to be language-independent, and found its first major use with the BCPL programming language.
Because BCPL has no data types other than the machine word, nothing in the language itself helps a programmer remember variables' types.
Hungarian notation aims to remedy this by providing the programmer with explicit knowledge of each variable's data type.

I was originally going to reply something along the lines of "it certainly should not be a subclass of ." However, some more research convinces me that while that is correct, it is not necessarily obvious.
This argument applies toward placing somewhere highter in the numeric hierarchy (though perhaps less strongly as one moves higher).
There was some discussion of having it be a subclass of , but that class seems to be pretty vestigial in Dylan, and so there is little distinction between putting it there and putting it under .
