 Encyclopedia: Works Volume I
Works Volume I is an album released in 1977 by Emerson, Lake and Palmer.
Most of the album featured a full orchestral accompaniment, and was regarded as self-indulgent by most critics, although an edited version of "Fanfare for the Common Man" (an Aaron Copland composition) was released on single and became a hit.
The follow-up, Works Volume II, was a single disc that appeared, according to many critics, to consist of leftovers and afterthoughts.
