  World record bass: A New World Record Bass
Florida's record bass is 17.27 pounds, but others often cite an uncertified fish of 20.125 pounds (a fisheries biologist did not physically see the fish to certify it).
Leaha Trew supposely caught a new world record largemouth in California.
The next world record bass in my opinion, is going to be from the lakes of San Diego water system.

 Missed World Record?
Lake record is 17#, On a pond that size it's very easy to know where the spawning beds are located, not to mention that the water is crystal clear so you can see the fish.
Anyone who claims they caught the World Record bass, by swinging on a bedding bass 5 times and eventually foul hooking it is doing a great injustice to anyone who has the dream of catching the "big one" IMO.
Forget the record and all the technicalities, I think these guys should be commended for their sportsmanship.

Thus we leave it up to the rider to choose the machine most suited to breaking the current record, and have not for some time considered records for the longest journeys on a particular type or size of motorcycle.

The Guinness World Record was established at the Gingerbreadman bar in Carlisle Pennsylvania (near Dickinson University and the Carlisle War College) in June 1977.
My 1977 world record was 1.3 seconds for 1 liter of beer (Miller beer), and the record was never beaten, so I am still the world record holder.
I am not sure what their plans are to include such records again in the future, but believe the records were removed because Guinness was sued by individuals or families of individuals who harmed themselves trying to beat these types of records.
