david johnson's webpage - book review "worldwar" series
The "Worldwar" series (originally planned at four books, with rumors of a possible fifth turning into the three of the "Colonization" series) is based on the "What If" of "What if Aliens invaded Earth during WWII and began their own war of conquest."
All the "Worldwar" books and the first "Colonization" one are out in paperback, with the second "Colonization" in hardcover.
However, the aliens are running out of supplies, moral is down, ginger use is up, and by the end of the book one of their bases mutinies, which shakes them more than the human nukes do.

The fatal, final deadline arrives in Harry Turtledove's grand, smashing finale to the Worldwar series, as uneasy allies desperately seek a way out of a no-win, no-survival situation: a way to live free in a world that may soon be bombed into atomic oblivion.
In this fourth book and conclusion to the alternate World War II history series (the prior installment was Worldwar: Upsetting the Balance, LJ 12/95), Turtledove mixes historical and fictional characters in a war of combined Axis and Allied forces against invading reptilian aliens.
