The 107 Livery Companies are trade associations based in the City of London, each known as the Worshipful Company of the relevant trade or profession.

Luckily, the Company's silver, including the oldest piece, Coconut Cup, hallmarked 1588, seven chalices dated 1656, and a number of cups dated 1660-1680, were not in the hall at the time and have survived.
In 1952 the Company purchased a silver salver to be presented to the winner of the Grand Pieces Competition at the Salon Culinaire de Londres at Hotelympia.
Company Livery Medals were instituted in 1771 and the Officers' present robes and regalia were presented by various members in the last quarter of the 19th century.

James Kinghorn, aged 19, received the Worshipful Company of Cooks annual prize for excellence in City and Guilds NVQ Catering and Hospitality Level 2, Food Preparation and Cooking, at a special lunch in London today.
James, from Knighton in Powys, left school at fourteen to be home-educated but knew that catering qualifications would help towards his dream of becoming a chef.
Master of the Worshipful Company of Cooks, Oliver Goodinge, presented James with an engraved goblet and praised his achievements: ‘The judges selected James because of his skill and talent.
