Suzanne, a former president of the Chemical Engineering Society and leading university Jujitsu exponent graduated with the MEng degree in chemical engineering with Distinction in June 2004.

HM Queen Elizabeth II has accepted two fans from the Company, the first being on the occasion of her marriage to HRH The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh in 1947, when she was presented with an antique fan of Louis XV period.

The base of the float was loaned by the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers and consisted of a Foden 6x6 Recovery Tractor and 20 tonne Tasker trailer with a total length of 68 feet.

I entered and won in 2001, the PAWS Special Award for a TV soap idea, "Newtons Law", that could raise the profile of engineering and attract youngsters to engineering, by showing the day to day life of engineers, working in teams, to address problems for the benefit of people and the environment.
I am still progressing this idea and have a 50 page script of the I hour pilot, professionally written, but no takers yet…… I feel my experience, with various initiatives, some successful and some less, is of value to the future activities of the Registrant Panel.
I believe that: The role of engineers needs to be more widely known, particularly with the young, the business community and the media - stressing the important, interesting and often exciting part they play, not only in the UK but also abroad.
