Charitable giving is a strong element of the livery tradition and while as a relatively young company the WCIT’s financial resources are more limited than some of the older companies, the generosity of its members in giving of their time, skills and experience is unstinting.
Despite its short history, the Company has proved that it can build on the traditions of the past and extend the reach of the Livery ideals, using modern methods and technologies to help people and organisations to gain maximum benefit from their ‘exposure’ to IT.
The Company believes strongly that while the practice of information technology in its many aspects calls for substantial theoretical knowledge, application of that knowledge calls for skills best acquired by practice under experienced guidance.
