The Society is fortunate in having a site contained within the historical Wortley Top Forge heritage centre which, in its own right, is well worth a visit to those interested in historic buildings, industrial machinery and relics, and boasts a superb working water wheel powered from the waters of the nearby River Don.
The Forge itself provides a wide range of industrial machinery and steam traction exhibits in the surroundings of the 17th Century buildings of the forge.
Wortley Top Forge can be reached within 10 minutes of the Ml motorway at junction 35A, (from the South), or junction 36, (from the North).
