It is the belief of the Wrentham School community that the data-rich information that accompanies MCAS results when they are distributed to school systems is a valuable tool in improving curriculum and enhancing adherence to the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks.
Students who are considered successful by the Wrentham staff are those who can read, write, know history, mathematics and science at the appropriate developmental level, speak publicly, think creatively, express themselves through art, music and movement, and act responsibly toward their classmates, adults and family.
As much as Wrentham believes that the MCAS test provides districts with rich data with which to review their curricula, the test will continue to be used as but one of the tools for this purpose.
