  The Curtiss-Wright Corporation
The Curtiss-Wright Corporation was established in August 1929 with the merger of Curtiss Aeroplane and Motor Company and Wright Aeronautical.
In 1934, the company was forced to divest itself of its various subsidiaries when the Air Mail Act of 1934 became law.
Wright engines also powered the DC-1/DC-2, and DC-3 aircraft and enabled Douglas to design the DC-1 as a twin-engine plane rather than as a tri-engine.

The Wright Cycle Company (formerly Wright Cycle Exchange) owned and operated five bicycle shops where Orville and Wilbur Wright designed and built Van Cleve and St.
They invented self-oiling hubs and initiated the practice of machining the crankarm and pedal on the left side of the bike with left-hand threads to prevent the pedal from coming unscrewed while cycling.
The bicycle shop where they built their first airplane, the Wright Flyer was moved to Greenfield Village in Michigan by Henry Ford.

In addition to Wilbur and Orville, the Wright family consisted of the father, Milton, who rose to Bishop in the Church of the United Brethren in Christ; the mother, Susan; two older brothers, Reuchlin, born in 1861, and Lorin, born in 1862; and a daughter, Katharine, born in 1874.

The same molds were used to make L G Wright glass at several different glassworks at various times, depending on which works had spare capacity or needed the work to retain their staff.
The company commissioned both hand blown and pressed glass pieces, and their range of colors included cranberry, cranberry opalescent, blue and lemon "pearline" opalescent, amberina, carnival, purple slag, mary gregory, plum, pink, ruby, amber, green, blue, clear, and others.
