The Wrington Vale Light Railway was a Railway serving serving villages in the Yeo Valley, North Somerset.
In 1901 the Wrington Vale Light Railway opened, serving the villages of Yatton (where it seperated from the main line from Bristol to Cornwall), Congresbury, Wrington, Burrington and Blagdon.
There has been some development on the trackbed at Wrington, and Burrington cutting has been filled in, but otherwise the trackbed is still intact.

Wrington Parish Council supports Congresbury Parish Council in requesting a review of traffic speeds and highway conditions on the road linking Wrington with the A370.
Although residents are certainly not guilt-free, our view is that this road is being increasingly used by through traffic, with many people being tempted to drive excessively fast for local road conditions once they are away from the speed limited main roads.

May's arrival was celebrated at the Weston & Banwell Dinner Dance due to the news that I had got myself a proper job, closer to home and with far less brides (I hope!) at County Office.
A small but elite band of Wrington held a new-members BBQ at Nic's and had 2 new faces appear (they haven't joined yet!).
Wrington had a good turnout from members, advisory and Polden Hills (cheers Jack and Lloyd!) where Mikey and Claire won and Nic and I (NOT Toby!) scored a record -280!!

Well, apart from an unannounced visit to the doctors and meeting up with the Wrington Ringers, we are spending the day at home, trying to catch up on a few jobs, as we have had some very hectic weekends lately.

The Wrington Vale Choral Society is a group of 40 singers from Wrington and the surrounding villages who meet every week to - as our objective says - 'make music in a lively, friendly, enjoyable atmosphere'.
Throughout the year, we also perform at a number of less formal events, including a dinner for the Friends of the Society, and other village occasions.
As well as sacred music, at some stage in our year we might tackle folk songs, Christmas carols and songs from musicals, and individuals perform their own songs, readings or recitals at our annual Friends' evening.
