It is often possible for research students to study under the guidance of one of the Wycliffe staff, and students thus have the encouragement of working with leading evangelical scholars, as well as the stimulus of studying in the university with its wide diversity of opinions.
Wycliffe is hoping in future to be able to offer a limited number of scholarships to research applicants, but at present there are no scholarships or bursaries.
Wycliffe Hall has long been a training centre for Christian ministers; and the 1996 decision to move Wycliffe under the permanent umbrella of Oxford University meant that I could now join the Christ-centered community at Wycliffe while still enjoying full status as an Oxford University student.
