Ahead of wynyard, central and town hall i presume.
(Maybe they were parts-compatible with the older ones then in use at Town Hall, Wynyard and North Sydney?) They're not even especially reliable these days, despite most having had their "25 year overhaul" to use RailCorp's words.
A $58 million upgrade to the North Sydney railway station will be completed by 2008.

It is obvious that a similar layout to Wynyard or Town Hall could be adopted, with the installation of a temporary passageway through the centre of the concourse to facilitate residents wishing to pass through the station.
Why should the residents of my electorate be forced to pay a toll to access their shopping centre, when major stations such as Wynyard, Town Hall and Central do not charge people using these stations as a thoroughfare?
I find it totally unacceptable that State Rail Authority officials can say in all honesty that they are concerned about fare evaders when they provide so few ticket collectors at most Sydney rail stations.

With few exceptions buses radiate from the centre: major interchanges are located at Railway Square near Central Station, especially for the southwest routes; at Circular Quay for a range of routes; from York and Carrington streets outside Wynyard Station for the North Shore; and Bondi Junction Station for the Eastern Suburbs and beaches.
The underground City Loop is very useful, linking Central Station, Town Hall, Wynyard, Circular Quay, St. James and Museum and allowing you to connect with the rail system from almost anywhere in the centre.
The first route, from Central station to the Pyrmont peninsula, should be operating now and there are plans to extend it to Circular Quay in one direction and Leichhardt in the other.

Out of the City Stations after North Sydney, i would look at Town Hall (occuring - and i dont quite agree with the new design i saw - all stairs are replaced with high speed escalators, with the old ones also replaced with high speed escalators.
(Maybe they were parts-compatible with the older ones then in use at Town Hall, Wynyard and North Sydney?) They're not even especially reliable these days, despite most having had their "25 year overhaul" to use RailCorp's words.
The station, which is the fourth-busiest on the metropolitan network, has not had a substantial makeover since the Harbour Bridge linked it to the city lines in 1932.

We were told clearly on the 7.52 north sydney train from Westmead that there would be delays between redfern and central due to heavy traffic to town hall due to an electrical fire in an air conditioner.
The train just skipped Town Hall due to a "police operation", although upon arriving at Wynyard it was then made obvious it was due to a fire.

The State's railway system quickly expanded from the outset with lines radiating from Sydney and Newcastle into the interior of the State, with frequent passenger railway services in the suburban areas of Sydney and Newcastle along with less frequent passenger trains into the rural areas and interstate.
While he was involved in the design and construction of downtown Sydney's underground railway system in the 1920s and 1930s, he is far more famous for the design and construction of Sydney's greatest icon, the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
The City Circle was completed in 1956 with the construction of the railway between Wynyard and St. James via Circular Quay completing the loop beneath downtown.
