Wyong is a city in the Australian state of New South Wales.
Wyong Shire is the fastest growing Local Government Area in New South Wales and one of the fastest growing in Australia along with Gold Coast City in Queensland and the City of Casey in Victoria.
Wyong is in the Central Coast region, and is sometime said to be a part of the wider Hunter region.

It is the administrative centre of Wyong Shire and, as such, a good base for an exploration of Tuggerah Lake (5 km west) and of the beautiful Yarramalong Valley to the west.
Wyong has several old buildings dating back to the 1890s and 1900s but the oldest house in the shire is Alison Homestead.
After the town of Wyong came into being with the opening of the railway line in 1887 it was closed as an inn and became a private residence only for about the next seventy years.

 THE FROG DECLINE IN AUSTRALIA - PUBLISHED IN 1996.
In the late 1970's I was able to drive along roads to the north and west of Sydney spotlighting for frogs on wet nights and finding so many frogs on the roads, that to attempt to swerve to miss the frogs was pointless.
In Victoria and New South Wales, species in the Litoria aurea complex seems to have copped a major hiding.
This population was at O'Keefe's Creek, south of Cooktown in far north Queensland.
