X Japan is the one of the few rock bands in the world that can unquestionably be referred to as legendary.
X was a very visual band, but as the years went by, their look gradually evolved into something more normal.
As of September 22, 1997 X Japan officially annouced their disbandment after more than a decade in the spotlight, but the breakup was an amicable one.

After that they got together with some other guys and formed the band X. They released the two singles 'I'll kill you' and 'Orgasm' and made it on two compilations albums with other Japanese newcomer bands.
They renamed the band to X Japan because in America there was already a band called X. The band had great success in Japan and the members also made solo projects.

This was part of a storyline in the wrestling federation in Japan known as "Hustle".
Each fought alongside 2 masked wrestlers from the faction they were fighting for, while the other 2 Justirisers and other 2 Sazer X heroes cheered each side on from outside the ring.
The match ended with a victory for Sazer X which at the end of the match they combined their powers with the crowd to help the Justirisers open their eyes to what they were really doing.

X is all about the war between the Dragons of Heaven (The Seven Seals) and hte Dragons of Earth (The Seven Angels).
I loved it up until the final episode which I felt cheated us from the ending we deserved and was not done in the spirit of the rest of the show but other then that it's descent.
I enjoyed the X movie because for 1.5 hours it's damn good but the TV series was nothing special in my opinion.

TOKYO _ Japan's space agency plans to test an unmanned landing and take-off system next month that it hopes will one day be used in a reusable shuttle or other spacecraft, officials said Thursday.
The system was originally envisioned for use in Japan's Hope-X project, which was started in the 1980s to develop a reusable unmanned space shuttle.
Japan had originally planned to launch Hope-X in 2004, but the project was put on hold two years ago after it fell four years behind schedule.

They were planning to come to America and release an Album but plans have undoubtably changed(That was the reason for the name change to X Japan).

It would be a blast to hear them tackle X-Japan's greatest song on their next stop in Japan.
X is simply godlike :D Yoshiki's the man, though it's funny seeing him at hollywood premieres with people like Virginia Madsen haha.
Another really cool song is the version of X from the (I think) 1991 Extasy Records Summit, where all the bands on that JP label did a tribute to X-Japan and played X. There was around ten musicians on stage, including two drummers, and it actually sounded really cool (for an already great song).
