		XXXHOLiC is still continuing its episode since 2003 in Young Magazine KC Deluxe periodically, and according to its website, a XXXHOLiC movie is scheduled for 2005.
		The XXXHOLiC manga is currently published in the United States by Del Rey Manga.

	AnimeNation Anime Forums - Tsubasa/xxxHolic
		xxxHolic runs in Young Magazine which is a seinen (late high school, college-age demographic) anthology magazine, and fits right into its publication with its philosophic overtones, romance, nods towards fan service, and less action-oriented storylines which rely more on mystery and character to drive the plots.
		Then, Tsubasa battles have "kudan" which is kind of like magic...which is related to xxxHOLiC, therefore, they are sort of related....not to mention that they had to get magic from Yuko in order to travel worlds.
		XXXholic I started reading because there was a little thing in YM magazine about it.

		XXXholic, not at all pornographic despite the title, follows the professional trade of Yuko, a space-time witch whose general purpose in life is to trade in wishes.
		He knows he shouldn't be able to see them, but he cannot turn them away and they seem to have no understanding that he'd rather not be chased around by spirits.
		Yuka is always impressive but also easily makes the shift to goofball antics, and the atmosphere, from flowing incense smoke to magic spells, is always appropriately spooky and insinuating to reflect our tale's shifting nature.

		Like with xxxHolic CLAMP is a big enough name now to where I don't think you'd need that "creators of" slogan, but I think if you had to use any of the series, you'd use "Cardcaptor Sakura," especially since the stars of that series are also featured on the cover of this book.
		Yuko's payment for her services remains the same as it is in xxxHolic, and when you actually see her in action in her own series, you realize exactly how big of a sacrifice that Syaoran and the others have to make in order to save Sakura.
		It is a good read, and one I would recommend in tangent with xxxHolic (thus far, the strongest of the pair.) It's your average quest series CLAMP style.

		In xxxHOLic, the characters are lanky as well, with rather long limbs, also the eyes are not as big and detailed as previous works.
		xxxHOLiC, as well, is drawn very stylishly; the characters are unique, and the art is characterized by a lack of tones and large use of plain fl and white.
		In xxxHOLiC there is a guide to “Artifacts and Miscellany”, which is a reference to the appearances of all the weird stuff that appears in and is referred to in the story.

		xxxHOLiC Volume 3 is presented with its original cover, which features a very nice wrap-around image, with the lovely Yûko on the front and Watanuki on the back.
		CLAMP’s direction on xxxHOLiC is a deviation from past works, as the characters are lanky, rougher around the edges, and don’t have really large eyes all along side striking fl and white backgrounds.
		It continues to be an enjoyable read, and taking a more episodic and comical tone, plus having that moral at the end of the story feel, Volume 3 is a nice break from the engaging story while keeping the nice character interactions and development.

		To be honest, I'm not sure whether this is a case of running out of translation time or just to make fans count off the days until the next release (which is in May, just in case you were wondering).
		All in all, xxxHOLIC is one of those series which gets me reaching for my credit card.
		I avidly await the next release date, not only because I love the fact that CLAMP can write a genuinely dark tale when they want to, but also because the characters are so unlike anything they've written before.

		Well, let me just say that xxxHOLIC V.01 was one of the launch titles that brought Del Rey into the manga business.
		Out of the two series from Del Rey that I have done so far, Tsubasa and now xxxHOLIC, this volume’s cover design completely outclasses the other, not just because of the images and that they used the original cover, but also because it has the same texture and feel as the original cover has.
		Also, you do not need to read both Tsubasa and xxxHOLIC in order to understand a particular series, but it does enhance the story in the long run.

		I was more attracted to the ideas that CLAMP came up with for Watanuki's missions for the witch Yûko than I was where the series was going in the long term.
		On the supernatural front, CLAMP's writing in xxxHOLiC both does and doesn't work for me. The individual stories are still working quite well, with the centerpiece of Volume 4 being two sisters and their relationship with each other.
		There are still some slight missteps in xxxHOLiC, but with so much of the book being stronger now, I'm willing to overlook a cryptic hint every couple of chapters about a subplot I'm not really interested in.

		In addition to the events already familiar to readers of Tsubasa, we learn more about the fl and white Mokonas, their abilities, and the cost each of the travellers pays to Yuko in return for transit to other worlds.
		In fact, the authors seem to be taking the reigns and setting down the foundation for the comic's larger story arc after a somewhat aimless (albeit entertaining) opening volume.
		Overall, the language is not as polished as the previous volume and translator Bill Flanagan should have spent a little more time on his dialogue.

	Sequential Tart - The Report Card
		XXXholic is one of CLAMP’s most recent works, running in Weekly Young Magazine.
		XXXholic (to be honest I don’t know how to pronounce that) is full of cameos from other CLAMP titles, displays a new twist on Nekoi Mick’s art style, and looks to be good for some laughs.
		If you are not a CLAMP fan, you may still enjoy this title, but it’ll be more fun if you are familiar with their other works so you can pick up on the in-jokes and cameos.

		I finished the first season of Tsubasa anime, but just started on the manga, I have a feeling the manga's gonna turn out better (like how mangas always do) since it's more fast-paced compared to the anime..searching for the feathers are painfully slow.
		I prefer Xxxholic over Tsubasa Chronicles as well, I can't remember which chapter of Xxxholic I am up to but it is definitely getting more and more interesting (just read vol 7).
		I am looking forward to the Xxxholic anime as well, I hope it doesn't flop as badly as TRC, which was disappointing to say the least.

		With volume 5 of xxxHOLiC the story finally picks up to include something big and intriguing to the story along with the familiar episodes of Watanuki slaving away at Yûko’s bidding.

		I saw about a volume's worth of both the new CLAMP mangas, and I liked xxxHolic more; so I'll add that I would like to be watching an xxxHolic anime - though I'll say 'too' instead of 'rather'.

		I also recommend you browse very carefully because there is unmarked spoileresque information around the site (although the series is still running so it's difficult to discern spoiler from not-spoiler).
		It really hasn't been my intention, but with college applications and whatnot, the most I've had time to do is update my livejournal (which, admittingly, I've been spending more than a necessary amount of time on there).

		Yuko Ichihara is scary when she's annoyed, and in the opening pages of the latest volume of xxxHOLIC, she is berating the fact that Syaoran and company (of Tsubasa RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE) haven't sent her gifts for White Day.
		Okay, you probably weren't expecting a low-down on Japanese culture when you clicked on this review, but trust me, it's integral to the plot.
		As usual, I'm than happy to shell out the extra dollars for this wonderfully dark series, simply because Del Rey put their heart and souls into making this an excellent translation.
