Chinese President Jiang Zemin sent a message of congratulations Friday to Xiamen University on the occasion of its 80th founding anniversary.
Jiang said that he hoped that the university would continue to implement the policy of revitalizing the country by promoting science and education, and cultivate more talented people.
Xiamen University was set up in 1921 by Chen Jiageng, a Chinese entrepreneur living in Singapore.
