(Xocolatl was a chocolate drink consumed by the Aztecs.) It is associated with the Mayan god of Fertility.
The xocolatl was said to be an acquired taste.

I remember reading about Xocolatl on Acetylene’s blog some time ago.
I mixed this up according to the directions the first time, and it seemed a bit heavy on the chocolate.
Add a few drops of cold milk to the chocolate powder and stir with a fork until you have a medium paste consistancy.

Here are the instructions I found on another site: Slowly heat a cup of milk (or milk substitute) until hot.
Whisk in 3 tablespoons of Xocolatl Hot Chocolate Mix and serve.
I mix 4 parts cocoa with 2 parts Xocolatl and 1 part sugar.
