Guilielmus Xylander (Wilhelm Holtzman, according to his own spelling) (December 26, 1532 - February 10, 1576) was a German classical scholar.
Born at Augsburg, he studied at Tübingen, and in 1558, when very short of money, he was appointed to succeed Micyllus in the professorship of Greek at the University of Heidelberg; he exchanged it for a chair of logic (publicus organi Aristotelii iliterpres) in 1562.
Xylander was the author of a number of important works, including Latin translations of Dio Cassius (1558), Plutarch (1560-1570) and Strabo (1571).
With a shot floated in from just outside the penalty area in the 18th minute, Christoffer Xylander of Grand evened the score to 1 - 1.
A misunderstanding between the visitors' keeper Malte Saalfeld and his left defence could have resulted in a goal for Grand, but Jan Nanver's finish was way too lame.
In the 84th minute, Grand's Christoffer Xylander received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first.

Xylander says, 'what would really make it useful is for people with weapon specials that got over-ridden by poison then they could have them restored by removing the poison'
Xylander says, 'even an Archibald style tank with 900hps if hes sucking down 2 rounds before a flee to get his surgeon to heal him is not gonna bode well'
Xylander says, 'balanced it to 2c cause more tho, a 2c create balm with 50min is still cheapern cure lighting with 50min'
The data from 1998 and 2003 cited by the Ministry of Health, for example, came from two different surveys, each employing different methods, and thus are not necessarily easily comparable.
The dire UNDP figure of 140 per 1,000, they said, may have been based on a 2000 survey that was then used by UNDP statisticians as a basis for predicting future trends.
But both said that Cambodia still had a long way to go, even if child mortality is ultimately shown to be on the wane.
The second appearance of Euclid's work in German was the first translation of the Elements (Books I-VI) as edited by Wilhelm Holtzman (also known as Wilhelm Xylander, 1532-1576), librarian and professor of Greek and mathematics at the University of Heidelberg.
This copy is unusual because it contains the rare errata leaf and has an inscription from Xylander on the elaborate red and fl title-page presenting it to his colleague Jacob Curio (1497-1572).
The first Latin edition of the Arithmetica, translated from the Greek and edited by Wilhelm Xylander (also known as Wilhelm Holtzman, 1532-1576), was published in 1575.
During vitellogenesis (formation of yolk), cytoplasm of small yolk cells gradually increases in volume, and many lipid droplets and shell protein granules are formed which contribute to the formation of the egg shell (Fig.5).
Spermiogenesis is as in other parasitic platyhelminths, i.e., spermatids form clusters connected by a central cytophore, spermatids are transformed to sperm by elongation, and two flagella grow out which fuse with the sperm body in a proximo-distal direction, i.e., beginning near their base.

Professor Willi E. Xylander concluded his paper on larval biology of Gyrocotylidea and Amphilinidea and the evolution of Cestoda with a statement that the extremely high egg production in these parasites compensates offspring loss by lower rates of host finding due to a passive mode of infection.
The results of Professors L. Jarecka, M. Burt, and B. MacKinnon on the tegument ultrastructure of the larval forms of some Pseudophyllidea, Haplobothridea, and Cyclophyllidea may provide further evidence in support of Janicki's Cercomer Theory.
Two review papers were presented on the comparative ultrastructure of fertilization in parasitic Platyhelminthes (Swiderski and Conn) and on the comparative ultrastructure of vitellocytes and vitellogenesis in cestodes (Swiderski and Xylander).
