The adjourned third general meeting of the New York Yacht Club was held yesterday afternoon in Delmonico's, Beaver Street.
A communication was read from Rear Admiral Sampson acknowledging the courtesy of the club in tendering the use of the Newport station to himself and other naval officers during the Summer.
Buchan is interested in the yachting exhibition, and requested the loan of several full-rigged and other models owned by the club and promised that they would be made a feature of the display.

A bunch of small-boat sailors were whooping it up Thursday night at the Bay View Boat Club, San Francisco's blue-collar yacht club, to celebrate the 65th anniversary of their vaguely historic clubhouse and the 89th birthday of Flip, a waterfront legend who is their guru.
Not far away is the clubhouse of the Mariposa Hunter's Point Yacht Club, a similar enterprise.
The club has a fishing committee, too, chaired (if that is the word) by Barry Roth, a professional fisherman.

The Meadowcroft Bowl is an annual match-racing event between Seawanhaka and Sayville Yacht Club sailed at Sayville.
The event is run as a series of flights and matches where the first time the two competitors meet the match is worth 1 point and the second match is worth 1.5 points.
This year each Club put up 6 helmspersons to sail the event in an expanded format and the matches were sailed in J/22’s provided by the members of Sayville Yacht Club.
