We now know that MIKAO USUI was born on the 15th of August 1865 in the Kyoto district, Japan, at the village of Tania-Mura, now called: Miyamacho, district of Yamagata, prefecture of Gifu.
In the Temple of Saihoji, which is placed in the District Suginami of Tokyo, there is a memorial monument dedicated to Usui Sensei.
