 [KFCC] Yamakasi Review
For first time actors, the "Yamakasi" kids really had the spark that drove the film in the right direction and even provided the flashes of comedy to really make their characters likeable and charismatic.
But the most obvious fault of this film is the fact that this scene was the highlight of the movie for me. Though the "Yamakasi" prides themselves on their nimbleness and prowess, we barely get to see enough of it displayed and put into action.
Their discipline and ritual practices of the art of motion are hindered when a young boy, in an attempt to mimic his "Yamakasi" heroes, falls from a tree and gets badly injured from a poor heart.

Apart from Belle's Traceurs and the Yamakasi, there are several other gangs in France, with names like the Wakazai, the Ninjas, Impala and Parkour Clan.

DVD Talk Forum - Has anyone seen "Yamakasi" written by Luc Besson?
One thing that pisses me off about all of these Besson flicks so far (well, Taxi 1 and 2, Yamakasi) is that the trailers make them look like the ultimate action-packed thrill rides, but the actual films have very little action in them.
Taxi 2 was great, and the Yamakasi make an aperance in it.
Still, the HK DVD is only $10, so it's worth trying if you liked the other Besson films.
