Yardley area committee district is situated in the south-east of Birmingham, at the boundary of Solihull.

Therefore, we propose a constituency of Birmingham Selly Oak and Sparkbrook comprised of the wards of Moseley and Kings Heath, Selly Oak, Sparkbrook and Springfield.
Yardley is an historic constituency, we have had comparisons between Selly Oak and Yardley in terms of their historic nature.

Yardley is part of Birmingham, which is a difficult place to understand for people from outside.
Although the population of Birmingham in the early 1800s was about a million, living in a very small space, the population doubled every 15 years.
The villages of Yardley, Stechford, Hay Mills, Acocks Green and Sheldon are the main ones in the Yardley constituency.

Yardley Wood has railway park and ride parking for about 60 cars plus a handful of disabled parking spaces.
There is direct access to the Birmingham platform from the parking area, with a traffic calmer across the access road at that point, giving a level route for wheelchairs.The ticket office is up by the road, with straight ramps down from either side of the overbridge to the platforms.
The Birmingham platform has a larger building with a canopy, but the platform-facing doors appeared to be sealed, giving the impression that the building is now in private use.

I went looking for blogs by people in Birmingham I E-Mailed about 12 or so don't know if any of them have signed up though, I only got a reply from one girl who was one of the 3 or 4 already signed up signed up.
Andy Pryke's list of Birmingham bloggers might be useful, though I only know one on that list (Jez Higgins).
On a similar subject, I noticed the Upcoming.org page for Birmingham was kinda dead so I started putting gig listings on it (mainly so I could get notifications via RSS), and I notice one other person has joined me. Any music fans, feel welcome to join in.
