Yarmouth is a town and major fishing and ferry port located on the Gulf of Maine in southwestern Nova Scotia, Canada.
Tourism has been a major industry in Yarmouth since the late 19th century when the Dominion Atlantic Railway and Halifax and Southwestern Railway began to offer connections for its passengers with steamship services operating to New York City and Boston.
This operation continued as Scotia Prince Cruises until April 2005, when it was ceased due to dangerous levels of toxic mold at the terminal in Portland.

First off, although we do have Great Whites off all the coast lines around Nova Scotia in mid to late summer (considered rare though), the shark pictured (probably caught off the southwestern part of the province) is not a Great White at all, its a shortfin mako.
Comments: I think that Nova Scotia like every other province should make the cutoff date for schools to be January Not Oct, it is not fair for the childern who are ready to start school and have to wait another year because of there birthday!!!!!
Comments: Iwas born at pubnico yarmouth co.nova scotia on the 27of nov.1933 live there until l was 13 move to halifa n.s but now live in U.K. it bring back a lot of memories when I surf the internet and see all the place that I know as a boy growing up there.
