Neither Yateley nor its inhabitants appear to have played a major role in pivotal national events.
These London based people held their land mainly for its social status, and were probably not particularly interested in farming, but either farmed their land as a part time activity or rented it out to others.

We identified those responsible and the parents of these youths were invited to Yateley Police Station to discuss their child’s involvement.
Some of the issues discussed were the current travellers site in Yateley, setting up Neighbourhood Watch schemes, speeding traffic around the School Lane area, anti-social behaviour, the 101 number, nuisance motor vehicles in Waitrose car park and Blackbushe Industrial estate, motor bikes on the Common and joining the police force.

The Yateley Society is a Registered Charity which is also registered with The Civic Trust.
Dr Richard Johnston of the Yateley Society told the story of The Haven, a home for unmarried mothers run by the Baptists from 1945 till 1969.
Dr Johnston recalled the building of Yateley’s last mansion house, then named Kerala, in the years before WW2 using photographs taken by an estate agent in 1935, and sent to us from Australia.

 Yateley Junior Singers - Main Page
Yateley Junior Singers was started in 1996 as an opportunity for children between the ages of 7 and 11in the Yateley area of Hampshire to sing in a choir which was independent from any school.
The Yateley Junior Singers had several concerts each year and achieved a high standard of choral singing.
The majority of these joint concerts were with local organisations but in April 1999 a joint concert was held with the Tucson Girls Chorus from Arizona.
