		Yatsushiro (八代郡; -gun) is a district located in Kumamoto, Japan.
		As of 2003, the district has an estimated population of 46,994 and a density of 82.93 persons per km².
		In 2005, all the towns of the district with the exception of Ryuhoku and Miyahara are scheduled to be amalgamated into Yatsushiro City, as part of the "Great Heisei Merger" government initiative.
