Kibbutz Yavneh, known as the “Cradle of the Religious Kibbutz Movement” is located on the coastal plain about three miles east of the city of Ashdod.

For we have not an innumerable multitude of books among us, disagreeing from and contradicting one another, as the Greeks have, but only twenty-two books, which contain the records of all the past times; which are justly believed to be divine; and of them 5 belong to Moses.
It is not possible for the Bible to have been canonized at Yavneh and for Josephus, largely believed to be credible, to have said that no one for generations had even contemplated adding to or subtracting from the biblical works.

 Yavneh Day School Visits Netanya
Yavneh Day School's eighth grade class traveled to Israel at the end of March 2004.
In the morning, Yavneh students attended class with their Israeli hosts, comparing and contrasting the experience with a morning at Yavneh Day School.
When ask about their favorite time there, again and again they wrote, "My favorite time was hanging out with the Netanya kids." Though the total time spent in Netanya was actually less than 24 hours, the impression it made on our students will last a lifetime.
