Yecapixtla is the closest town out of Cuautla on the Ruta del Volcan (Popocatepetl), an interesting road on the south side of the active volcano that has a convent church in almost every town.
I found the microbus stand in Cuautla on Centinela Street in the morning and was amused to find about 25 vehicles lined up all with the destination, Yecapixtla.
At the tourist office in Cuautla I picked up an 84 page booklet called Conventos en Morelos for 100 pesos that has fabulous bird's eye photos and detailed diagrams of 19 major and 9 minor convents in the State of Morelos.

Producers see a death sentence in the agricultural chapters of NAFTA, signed a decade ago and implemented since 1994, and blame the Mexican government for not preparing them for free trade.
"The countryside is being abandoned," said Sergio Ramirez, a sorghum farmer from Yecapixtla, a tiny farming pueblo some 50 miles south of Mexico City.

This was the oldest section of narrow gauge in Mexico, having been completed from Mexico City in 1881 under the name of Ferrocarril Morelos.
Yecapixtla yards were built in a Eucalyptus grove because of the availability of groundwater.
I know that the FCI in Cuautla has been closed for the last two years, and that the tracks were taken up from Yecapixtla to the wye just outside of the Cuautla depot.
