Yekaterina Ludmilovna Lobaznyuk (born June 17, 1983 in Fergana, Uzbekistan) is a former Olympic gymnast who competed for Russia in the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, Australia, winning 3 medals.
It was in Rubtsovsk that Yekaterina (known as Katya to her friends and family) met her future coach, Valery Fyodotovich Dianov, and the two quickly became a team.
She was an integral part of the 1999 World Championships team from Russia that won a silver medal, as she picked up the most points overall for her team in the team final.

Yekaterina Vladimirovna, "Lobchik" or "Katya" to her friends, was born in Fergana, which nowadays is in Uzbekistan, where she lived for almost 12 years.
Yekaterina's father, Vladimir Viktorovich, is a sports teacher, her mother, Liudmila Leontevna, is a gymnastics trainer and qualified judge.
Yekaterina started with gymnastics when she was 6 years old, her first trainer was her mother.
